Common types of liquid crystal molecules include nematic liquid crystals, twisted nematic liquid crystals (TN-LCD), super twisted nematic liquid crystals (STN-LCD), vertically aligned liquid crystals (VA-LCD), and horizontally aligned liquid crystals (IPS-LCD). These liquid crystal molecules will rearrange under the action of an electric field, thereby affecting the passage of light and achieving display effects.

Liquid crystal mixture: In practical applications, liquid crystal materials are usually a mixture of multiple liquid crystal molecules to meet requirements such as low viscosity, high stability, high contrast, and wide temperature range. The mixture needs to be quickly rearranged to optimize display performance and ensure long-term use without phase transition.

Glass substrate: Glass substrate is the supporting structure of LCD, which requires high transparency, high flatness, and good chemical stability. Common glass substrates include float glass and ultra-thin glass. Float glass is formed by flowing on the surface of molten metal and is suitable for producing flat glass surfaces; Ultra thin glass substrates are used to reduce the thickness and weight of LCDs.
